Hi Dear Reader,
My name is Pascal and I am the creator of Frenchy Bunny, cute character for children songs and nursery rhymes, on YouTube.

Frenchy Bunny for happy baby and happy mom and dad!:)
Today, I'm gonna tell you how it all started. How I dediced to take a U-turn in my life.
Here is one of my last animation.
And below I will tell you how it all started, OK?
How it clicked in my mind, and how I started that crazy project, and how I learnt all these new skills.
I mean it's tough, but if I succeeded in learning so many things, it means anyone can learn anything as well. Whatever you want to do, just keep working on your project.
So here is one of my last animation. Please subscribe to my channel and share my videos!
A NEW START- HOW I CREATED FRENCHY BUNNY
In this low economy, work for me was becoming less and less regular. Some months, I was not even making enough to pay the rent.
And the more it goes, the more I felt I was more and more expandable.
The more people got unemployed, the more I could be easily replaced. And people losing their jobs, it's not poor people with no skills, or manual workers like. When everything is going down, I was meeting new guys coming from the trade market, the tourism industry, people who were managers, people who had a senior position in a company, it was like anyone with English language skills and who needed a quick job could replace me.
Plus in my field, there was less and less work.
My work it was sometimes 10, sometimes 12 hours, and up to 15 hours/day. Plus 2 to 3 hours just to go to work in the traffic. I mean it was not easy. I mean when you can only sleep 5 or 6 hours, some days just 4 or 3 hours, you're always wrecked.
But if I wanted to stay in that job, I mean keep working for a few days, you had to accept the long hours. Otherwise, it was over.
And the worse is that when you have more and more people ready to work, it was getting more difficult just to get some work. And everything was renewable, like small contracts just for the day, always renewable. So, some months, you could have work, but every week, you never knew, and some months it was very very low.
ONE MORNING
So, one morning, I woke up. And I had drawn a little story, just wih pencil, 2 years before. But I had heard it was so competitive in illustration that it was next to impossible to make it, or to just to get little revenue.
That morning, I thought about that character that I had created, and I felt it was really a pity to leave it in a cardboard box. So it was almost if the character told me: Hello, get me out of that box!
I want to live, I want to see the world! Please help me! and set me FREE!
I told myself, why don't you try to bring your character to the web? Just put it on the web. Try to make it known. At least, the idea first was just to present, and get some visibility.
I thought first about E-cards.
But I absolutely didn't know how it worked. I didn't even have the internet connection at that time. So I talked about my project to people around me, and a guy gave me a training course in video, about animation. It was in English, and there was so much to learn and it was so complex that I told myself:
the only way to make it is to do only that. I went to the store, I got some food, and I spent almost 2 months, doing that, watching the videos, over and over.
An animation program is so vast, that even if you start, you're blocked every 5 minutes, because there is something you don't know.
TRAINING FOR MONTHS
Yet, I stuck to it. I spent months listening over and over to this trainer, reading books, getting new books, and every week I had the feeling it was getting more and more complex. It's like climbing a mountain when everytime you look up, the summit seems higher and higher.

Many times, I failed. Many times I felt it was impossible. Many times I was blocked. After 6 months, I couldn't even export. Everything was blurry or not fluid. It took me 2 months, just to get the export parameters right. And I succeeded maybe after 1 year.
And the worse was not my own challenge with the technique and the computer stuff.
The most difficult part is when people you like the most don't even believe in your project. When you're attempting something you need so much support.
And just saying, I'm gonna become an animator, I want to make my own videos. My best friends had the feeling I was going to a wall.
Yet I kept believing in my dream. I didn't know how this would go. But I stuck to it.
I am not making anything right now, yet it is a reward just to see people woming and watching my videos. For me it's like if I had my little cinema. And it's really crazy and wonderful just to see that I created moving things and some people can enjoy it!

So please, if you have a dream, keep working on it!
"Vouloir, c'est pouvoir." and "Pouvoir, c'est gagner"
it means "to will is to be able" and "to be able is to win"
Please leave your comments, I'd love to hear from you!:)
All the best to you! and Have a great day!
