Frenchy Bunny blog is about nursery rhymes.
It's also to tell the story behind "Frenchy Bunny."
It's about a guy who had nothing and who decided to create something. But more than a way to get some income, it's about being happy.
Oh it's not easy, but it's about choosing a direction, your own path.
It's about entrepreneurship, challenges.
So everything that I will share, my experiences, my thoughts can be useful and I hope it will interest someone.
If your friend is unwell, he or she will be happy to receive a message from you. You can wish a prompt recovery with this cute message.
Just share the video, in your mail. :)
"There was a farmer had a dog...."
This is just Easter week-end. I put an egg in the video, and please look at it in the end, OK? Thank you!
It took me over a week just to fix the technical difficulties I had with this animation. (Just to say it's not easy:) Even if it looks very basics, it takes a long time and it requires some work:)
There was a farmer (who) had a dog, And Bingo was his name-o. B-I-N-G-O B-I-N-G-O B-I-N-G-O And Bingo was his name-o.
There was a farmer (who) had a dog, And Bingo was his name-o. (clap)-I-N-G-O (clap)-I-N-G-O (clap)-I-N-G-O And Bingo was his name-o.

THE STORY BEHIND THE VIDEO While I was bringing the last touch to the "10 little indians" video, I thought: why not making a canoe? This could give me the opportunity to enlarge the frame and make a large landscape (or waterscape:) like the one I really like!
I grew up with comics books. Mainly nice stories of adventures, and large landscapes. When I became a teenager, I really liked the stories of Hugo Pratt: Corto Maltese. There are scenes at the beginning with large screen on the sea with the sun. And then I discovered cinema with all these large frames. So, this is probably one of my first attempt to show simply the beauty of nature.
This has been a terrific experience. I learnt a lot. And even if it seemed easy at the beginning. I already had most of the images and animation. I just worked on the racoon boy and girl, on the canoe, plus a few things. But the whole thing was a mess to manage. So many pieces here and there. It's funny because it seems so simple, but believe me, it's not. :)
(I know many things still sucks in the video (sound and music in that genre is all new for me), but I'm learning... and every day is a school day:) Please let me know what you think, OK?
Old Mac Donald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O And on his farm he had some cows, E-I-E-I-O With a moo, moo here, And a moo, moo there, Here a moo, there a moo, Everywhere a moo, moo, Old Mac Donald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O

Enjoy the children song, with Frenchy Bunny! and please leave your comments. I'd love to hear from you! It's just great to hear from people from far away, or from different environment. Have you ever been at the farm? How was it?
That would be great to hear from you, just to share and so other kids or parents can hear about it. I just think it's a fantastic learning ground.
Or maybe, even better, you live in a farm? I'm sure some people who will come here live in a farm, or in a countryside environment. So I'm happy to see you here. I wish you a great day!
Hello mes amis,
Below the video, I will tell you some memories about my childhood vacations in a farm.
I loved doing this nursery rhyme with animals! I enjoyed the fields and the farm as I remember an important time of my youth, where everything was joy and innocence, and nice!
Here is my new version of "Old Mac Donald". The first one was very basic, no music and very little animation. So I hope this one is slightly better!
I had fun with the colors, and this Old Mac Donald seems to like drinking a bit too much, but he's a good fellow!
MY CHILDHOOD at THE FARM
When I was a kid, I remember the first time I arrived in a farm. For the vacations, I went to spend some time in the countryside, where my uncle and my aunt had just got a house with a barn. We had to walk nearly one hour through woods and fields on a small tiny road, from the train station.
Next to the house, there were 2 farms. There was a horse when I arrived, and he seemed so big. The neighbors were traveling with a cart and a donkey. It was a privilege for me to approach such a fantastic creature. It was like seeing an elephant for the first time! People were very nice. I realize now that I learnt so much with them. It's everything, animals, nature, culture, work, team work, basic rules and just learning from nice people. Well, you just learn about life.
I was going to collect eggs, and getting fresh milk across the road in the morning. I played with the pigs, and I was joining the farm lady to bring the cows to the fields.
It's really great to learn and participate in adults activities. Going to get some food, the water, getting some wood.
One very good time was my long rides by bike through the countryside to go to the first little town where there was a grocery store and a bakery. I walked a lot as well throughout the fields with the dog of the farm.
There was no water in the house, so we had to get water from a dwell, down the road. It was dangerous.
No electricity, so we had candles in the evening. And when it was getting cold, I remember the fire in the large fireplace, lots of smoke, and you could hear the fire cracking while you were getting to sleep. It was so great! And the cats from the farms around were getting in the house and they were sleeping on the bed.
Hope you like the video. Please let me know what you think, OK?
And tell me as well if you have some experience in a farm?
I'd love to hear from you!:)
Thanks a lot to all people who have watched my videos, for for your nice comments on my videos, and on Facebook, and the good and joyful contact. It was a great help!
I've just put the video online last night. It's more like a test.
This is the first time I've been able to put music and voice together. So it's a big step for me!:) Hope you can appreciate the complexity of the lyrics.;)
All this is new to me and I hope this is the beginning of a new road.
I just woke up this morning and we have snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is sooooo BEAUTIFUL!
Really happy!
"Let it Snow, Let it Snow.....!" :)
As I stumbled on the lyrics, I couldn't help laughing. Yet, I decided to
get this first version, for the fun. If there's just one person who can
smile about it, I'll be happy. :-) Of course, the real singers are
Dean Martin (Years ago, I kept listening to his audio tapes over and
over!) , Bing Crosby, and Frank Sinatra!
Have a great day!
Adopt Frenchy Bunny!:) Just go on the web from time to time to say hello and give him a smile!:) It will make him happy!:)
There is no possibility to increase teaching hours in a week. Yet, the
web gives that possibility. People can come at any time 24/7, on any
video with learning purposes, or "How to"
So if you build your own content, it's like developping a class on the
side. This class can only grow
with time, whereas a real class once it's finished, it's finished.
Large screens
In the metro, in Paris, I see large tall screen of advertising, like
human size Iphone. I believe that in the future many education hours
will be replaced by screens.
I'm not saying there will be no more teaching with humans. Just that an
image is worth 1000 words. So teachers , or some teachers already start
using their laptop, or Ipad to show with images, and explain more
clearly.
It's more fun, sometimes it's interactive, and the brain gets it more quickly.
So, with the video I did with learning numbers, I see a new potential.
Reducing the weight of
the school bag
For
years, parents and doctors have been complaining about the weight of
the school bag. Even now, you see kids with a school bag almost heavier
than them, and they have to walk for miles to go to school.
I have
heard that some aviation company have saved money (with fuel savings)
just by supressing all the paper work with papers, and replacing it with
Ipads.
So I see school tables with Ipads inside the
table. Can you imagine? The kid will have all the programs, history,
geography... Let's say you want to teach Paris, you will get your
program, plus real images, videos, and even Google earth, if you want to
locate a specific monument.
It's crazy!!! Yet, it's true.
I
see kitchen table with screens inside the table, no need to pour coffee
on your newspaper or your English book. Well I guess, it will become
more and more common.
Thanks a lot for coming here! Since I lost my job... I've been
struggling on developping this idea: creating something new. Something
where I would be less dependent of the recession, something where I
could invest more time on the long term.
Most of the jobs I had done before, I invested so much energy, even
if it was a crap job, I was doing my best, delivering the best service I
could. And then, it was so frustrating, because I could see that how
good I could be, I would never be rewarded for my efforts.
So when
I created Frenchy Bunny, I was dreaming a bit. Because it takes so much
time, and the chances I can make some extra revenue out of it are still
very low....
But I believe in it. And every day, I keep walking in the same direction... whether it's raining, cold, or snow... I am walking.
Today there is a bit of light! And I'm happy to share it with you!
I just built my first store on line. Children T-shirts! I love you, mug, for Valentine's day!
It's still very amateur, but hey... if there's an amateur in this field, it's me!
So have a look, and come in a few days or weeks, and you will see some progress.
If you have comments, feedback, or ideas... I'd love to hear from you!:)
Thanks a lot for passing by! It's great to see you here! and it makes me happy!

Frenchy Bunny for happy baby and happy mom and dad!:)
Today, I'm gonna tell you how it all started. How I dediced to take a U-turn in my life.
Here is one of my last animation.
And below I will tell you how it all started, OK?
How it clicked in my mind, and how I started that crazy project, and how I learnt all these new skills.
I mean it's tough, but if I succeeded in learning so many things, it means anyone can learn anything as well. Whatever you want to do, just keep working on your project.
So here is one of my last animation. Please subscribe to my channel and share my videos!
A NEW START- HOW I CREATED FRENCHY BUNNY
In this low economy, work for me was becoming less and less regular. Some months, I was not even making enough to pay the rent.
And the more it goes, the more I felt I was more and more expandable.
The more people got unemployed, the more I could be easily replaced. And people losing their jobs, it's not poor people with no skills, or manual workers like. When everything is going down, I was meeting new guys coming from the trade market, the tourism industry, people who were managers, people who had a senior position in a company, it was like anyone with English language skills and who needed a quick job could replace me.
Plus in my field, there was less and less work.
My work it was sometimes 10, sometimes 12 hours, and up to 15 hours/day. Plus 2 to 3 hours just to go to work in the traffic. I mean it was not easy. I mean when you can only sleep 5 or 6 hours, some days just 4 or 3 hours, you're always wrecked.
But if I wanted to stay in that job, I mean keep working for a few days, you had to accept the long hours. Otherwise, it was over.
And the worse is that when you have more and more people ready to work, it was getting more difficult just to get some work. And everything was renewable, like small contracts just for the day, always renewable. So, some months, you could have work, but every week, you never knew, and some months it was very very low.
ONE MORNING
So, one morning, I woke up. And I had drawn a little story, just wih pencil, 2 years before. But I had heard it was so competitive in illustration that it was next to impossible to make it, or to just to get little revenue.
That morning, I thought about that character that I had created, and I felt it was really a pity to leave it in a cardboard box. So it was almost if the character told me: Hello, get me out of that box!
I want to live, I want to see the world! Please help me! and set me FREE!
I told myself, why don't you try to bring your character to the web? Just put it on the web. Try to make it known. At least, the idea first was just to present, and get some visibility.
I thought first about E-cards.
But I absolutely didn't know how it worked. I didn't even have the internet connection at that time. So I talked about my project to people around me, and a guy gave me a training course in video, about animation. It was in English, and there was so much to learn and it was so complex that I told myself:
the only way to make it is to do only that. I went to the store, I got some food, and I spent almost 2 months, doing that, watching the videos, over and over.
An animation program is so vast, that even if you start, you're blocked every 5 minutes, because there is something you don't know.
TRAINING FOR MONTHS
Yet, I stuck to it. I spent months listening over and over to this trainer, reading books, getting new books, and every week I had the feeling it was getting more and more complex. It's like climbing a mountain when everytime you look up, the summit seems higher and higher.
Many times, I failed. Many times I felt it was impossible. Many times I was blocked. After 6 months, I couldn't even export. Everything was blurry or not fluid. It took me 2 months, just to get the export parameters right. And I succeeded maybe after 1 year.
And the worse was not my own challenge with the technique and the computer stuff.
The most difficult part is when people you like the most don't even believe in your project. When you're attempting something you need so much support.
And just saying, I'm gonna become an animator, I want to make my own videos. My best friends had the feeling I was going to a wall.
Yet I kept believing in my dream. I didn't know how this would go. But I stuck to it.
I am not making anything right now, yet it is a reward just to see people woming and watching my videos. For me it's like if I had my little cinema. And it's really crazy and wonderful just to see that I created moving things and some people can enjoy it!

My name is Pascal, creator of Frenchy Bunny, cute animation, nursery rhymes for kids.
How will the population look in 10 years?
Will the kids become overweight teenagers?
If you have children, maybe the answer belongs to you.
And when I look at the store, it's almost like a stadium. Just for cereals, you have 20 meters. All brands are competing. All moms are gonna be seduced by the same trap: Buy more - buy cheaper.
3 packs for the price of 2.
It's gonna be eaten at the same speed.
The more you fill the refrigerator, the more temptation for the kids.
And it gets like an endless cycle; The less they do (physically) , the more they gonna spend time on the screen, the more they'll be stressed, the more they will eat.
Will they be happier?
And the more overweight they will become, the more they will have difficulty to reach their goals or to succeed in their social relations.
And so more stress, less activity, less friends, or less social interactivity, so more food...
So the idea is that it's crucial to educate properly at an early age, to have a good diet, eat fruits and vegetables.
If the kid starts to get bad habits, if the child gets addicted to too much fat or too much sweet, or too many anything... then it's gonna be extremely hard to change.
So the best way is not to get addicted.
A good song to learn about fruits is "apples and bananas".
Hi there, I've just found a great video from MrBuzzfactor on YouTube!
MrBuzzfactor is speaking about The #1 Success Tool for Artists & Creative Entrepreneurs
success tool for artists and entrepreneur I hope this tip can be useful to you! A notebook. A simple notebook A notebook that I can carry anywhere, light, cheap, but it's like the most efficient computer or database, quick to use. At home, at the restaurant, in the street, by your bed before going to sleep, just to plan the next day.
Most of time, new ideas are gone in the wind the next morning. Make sure you keep focusing on what's important. And it's a great way (at least for me) to put down what I have to do and to prioritize. First things First.:) For an artist, a notebook gives day after day a sense of direction. I'm consuming 96 pages every 3 or 4 weeks.:)
I use a notebook 96 pages, format 24 X 32 cm, Paper 90 g/m2, I put down everything on it: sketches, plan, ideas, statistics, things to do...
Hope this can be useful to you. Just do it, and you'll see quickly how you get more efficient! Please tell me what you think, OK? I'd love to hear from you!
And don't forget to share my videos, and like my page on Facebook!:) http://www.facebook.com/frenchybunny You'll get free updates about new videos, and about this blog!
Thanks for coming here! I'm really glad to see you!
How are you? Please give me some news! You can leave comments here or on Facebook, OK?
I hope you're well, and you're gonna be warm during these last winter months.
For the last days, I've been reworking on one of the Frenchy Bunny video: the popular song "The wheels on the bus"
I have other scenes unfinished but decided it's better to have a short story than a story which remains a project.
So if you want to go in the pool. Just go. It's in the water that we learn swimming.:)
Some very nice people had suggested that I improve the sound, as there were few losses of power.
I truely appreciate all your comments! As long as it's constructing. :) Even if sometimes it can bug me, after a while, it's brewing like tea, and it helps me to go in the right direction. Thanks
I hope this audio track is slightly better. In fact, I found a new way of recording, well, it's just a small trick. And it seems it keeps the sound better at same level.
Now, I see that the first version was very slow, but I liked the sounds with birds. So I will have to work on that again.
Why did I do a WW red bus at first? Well, it was my first vision. When I was a kid, I went to a summer camp, and when we were going sailing, we were going in that mini van.
And we were singing the whole trip.
Of course, it was not that colorful, but then I saw all the WW bus from surfers, and I thought it would give a fun look.
Yet, I see that for a broad audience, it's probably way too far from what they're expecting and so I tried to adjust to a more normal bus.
Most of the representations of that song are red buses or yellow school bus.
It's not easy to do children illustration. If it's too realistic, it's artificial, and yet it has to look functional.
By the way, it's not in the recording, but if you go on the road, I say: "seatbelt, please" , "seatbelt, please", "seatbelt, please"
I hope you're not too cold, while you're reading this. We're gonna reach the coldest month of the year in France. I've heard that there is no cold weather, only bad clothes.:)
So get warm!:)
Please leave your comments, I'd love to hear from you!
In my last page, I was talking about my day working on that song "The 5 Little ducks".
And then I realized that maybe some of you don't even know what is that song.
(to be honest, I was like you, 2 months ago:)
For those who don't have the chance to know this amazing song, here are the lyrics:
I let you judge, and I leave you some time to study the deep meaning and the philosophical sense of that story.:)
Five little ducks went out one day Over the hills and far away Mother Duck said "Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack" But only four little ducks came back.
Four little ducks went out one day Over the hills and far away Mother Duck said "Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack" But only three little ducks came back.
Three little ducks went out one day Over the hills and far away Mother Duck said "Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack" But only two little ducks came back.
Two little ducks went out one day Over the hills and far away Mother Duck said "Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack" But only one little duck came back.
One little duck went out one day Over the hills and far away Mother Duck said "Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack" But none of those little ducks came back.
Mother duck went out one day Over the hills and far away Mother Duck said "Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack" And all of the five little ducks came back.
Please comment and subscribe. I'd love to hear from you! I want to hear you singing! and don't hesitate to film you or your kid singing with the video!:)
You can DO it! Yes, you can!:)
My name is Pascal. I am the creator of Frenchy Bunny, cute characters and animation for children.
Today, I've been working on the video about the song "5 Little Ducks". I translated the English version, and adapted it slightly, so the rhyme and the rythm still work.
I did the recording, and then just for the editing, it took me several hours.
It's crazy, because it seems so simple.
There are 3 scenes which repeat themselves, over and over... 5 ducks, 4 ducks, ...
But the French version is a little different, so I had to re-edit the whole thing.
5 little Ducks
Here is the English version
and theFrenchversion,
with this amazing close-up of Mother Duck!:)
(I know it's ridiculous to speak about these things. But you know how I am?!
I love it! Changing a boring day with something colorful and absolutely riduiculous!:)
And I like that. I added as well a close up for mother duck, when she find out that none little duck came back.
It's so funny to speak about things which are so unreal.:)
Well, that's what I do, guys.
I heard in an interview, I think it were guys from Pixar. And so the guy is complaining to his colleague because they had to redo, and redo, over and over, an animation to improve it. The animation was about a frog. A simple frog, and they probably wrecked their brain to adjust the animation and reach perfection.
And his friend told him: "come on, it's not so bad when you spend the whole day working on making a frog move. I mean if we have to complain, what the rest of the world should say?"
So, I spend the day with the "5 little Ducks"!:)
=========================
Something else....
If you have one dream, work on it. I'm not saying drop everything, or quit your job, to follow your dream. No. Just start working on it, learning the field, studying the pros and cons, see if it is realistic, if it can work, if you can really make a living out of it. This research is basically what they call a market study or market research.
Before jumping in the pool, just check if there's enough water, OK?
Simple as that.
Invest your time in getting new skills, learning new things, and it will be a start, because you start building as soon as you do the first step in the direction of your goal.
Another thing, keep focusing on something you really like, something you're really passionate. Because, if you really like it, you will keep working on it, whatever happens, if it's snowing, pouring with rain, or if the whole world goes down around you, you will go on, when the others quit.
And that's a rule of success. Persistence, being able to overcome the big difficulties when it gets really tough.
Success requires work. But when it gets too hard, most people quit. And it's only by going on that you get better.
"Vouloir, c'est pouvoir" and I think Napoleon said: "Pouvoir, c'est gagner"
To will is to be able to, and " being able to is winning"
Have a great day! You're the best! And if you want something, if you really want something, work on it, and you will get it!
Please leave your comments, I'd love to hear from you! Share my blog! Share my videos, and subscribe to my YouTube channel! It will make me happy!:) Thank you !
Have a great day, with sunshine, and with Frenchy Bunny!
